Amsonia tabernaemontana

Amsonia tabernaemontana (Dwarf Blue Amsonia)

Dwarf Blue Amsonia

Dwarf Blue Amsonia is a bit shorter in height than the species, reaching only 18-24 inches. The foliage is shaped like the narrow leaf on a willow tree. The flowers are sky-blue in clusters that appear in June and July. It has golden yellow foliage in the fall. Photo courtsey Bluebird Nursery

Interesting Notes
Amsonia should be used more in the landscape because they have multiple seasons of interest.
